Volunteer Interest Form
The ISU Short Track World Tour is coming to the Pacific Coliseum from October 23–25, 2026, bringing top short track speed skaters from around the world to Vancouver.

Volunteers are an essential part of delivering the event and will support a variety of areas, from sport and venue operations to hospitality, media, transportation, and more.

**Please note: There are limited volunteer opportunities for those under 16 years of age. If you are under 16, please select the General Volunteer shifts that work for you and your parent/guardian. This will allow us to see your availability and place you in an appropriate shift.

**When completing your application, please make sure to select the shifts that you are available for.** This will help us assign you to a role and schedule that works with your availability.

Volunteer Groups Descriptions:
Access Control
Help manage access throughout the venue and ensure athletes, teams, officials, media, staff, and spectators are entering the appropriate areas. Tasks may include checking accreditations and credentials, monitoring entrances, and providing directions or information.

Anti-Doping
Support the Anti-Doping team with the athlete testing process. Volunteers may be responsible for notifying and accompanying athletes to the doping control area, assisting with athlete flow, and supporting the team with general tasks and organization.

AOS – Available-On-Site Support
Provide flexible support wherever it is needed during the event. Volunteers in this area may be assigned to different tasks throughout the day, helping various teams with last-minute needs, event logistics, guest support, setup, or other on-site requests.

Hospitality
Help provide a welcoming and positive experience for athletes, teams, officials, VIPs, and guests. Tasks may include supporting hospitality areas, preparing and replenishing refreshments, welcoming guests, maintaining the space, and assisting with general hospitality needs.

Media
Support the media team with the day-to-day needs of accredited media and photographers. Tasks may include assisting with media access, supporting the mixed zone and media areas, distributing information, helping with interviews, and ensuring media operations run smoothly.

Protocol
Support official event ceremonies and activities involving athletes, dignitaries, VIPs, and guests. Volunteers may assist with medal ceremonies, athlete introductions, VIP hosting, and other protocol activities while helping ensure everything runs according to schedule.

Race Office
Support the administrative and organizational side of the competition. Tasks may include preparing and distributing competition documents, assisting teams and officials, organizing materials, supporting accreditation needs, and helping with general Race Office operations.

School Program
Help deliver the school experience at the event and welcome visiting school groups. Volunteers may assist with check-in, group coordination, activities, wayfinding, and ensuring students and teachers know where to go and what to expect throughout their visit.

Sport

Support the competition team with the operational needs of the speed skating event. Tasks may include assisting in athlete and equipment areas, supporting field-of-play operations, helping with competition equipment and logistics, and ensuring sport activities run smoothly.

Transportation
Support the transportation team in coordinating transportation for athletes, teams, officials, and other event participants. Tasks may include helping coordinate vehicles and schedules, communicating with drivers and passengers, assisting with loading and unloading, greeting teams at the airport, and providing directions or information.

Venue Operations
Help with the overall setup and operation of the competition venue. Tasks may include signage, equipment and furniture setup, spectator areas, venue checks, wayfinding, maintaining event spaces, and assisting with general operational needs throughout the event.
